A few hours ago my beloved cat Lucy died. She was almost 16 years old... But she was very weak for the last few months, she didn't eat much and today she wasn't even able to walk.
So we took her to the vet where she was put to sleep.... I'm feeling very sad right now. I mean I got Lucy when I was a child and she was with me for so many years and now she's gone.
I will miss her so much :(
I know how you feel. I had a puppy when I was four years old and she stayed with me till I was sixteen. She got very ill and I had to take her to the vet to get put to sleep as well. What really helped me get through is that now she can be with me wherever I go. I'm sure your cat is with you at all times now too :)
